Water Adventure
Water Adventure is our program focusing on Canoeing, Kayaking, and Camping skills. The campout is the highlight of this week. We drive about 15 miles away to a beautiful location called Newpoint Comfort.
Here, campers will canoe to their overnight destination on a beach overlooking Newpoint Comfort Lighthouse. This unique track is a wonderful experience for the water-lovers out there. (Most weeks Water Adventure campers will stay in one of our “older” cabins.)
An extra fee of $60, covers the campout and also a kayaking tour with Southeast Expeditions.
Water Adventure Camp – Beginning Level (ages 12-14)
These water-filled weeks are for adventure seeking kids, who like the water. Campers will learn how to canoe, kayak and will enjoy Christ-centered messages throughout the week. An overnight canoe trip and a day kayaking trips are the highlights of this week. Campers must be comfortable swimmers.
Water Adventure Camp – Intermediate Level (ages 13-17; must have attended beginning level previously)
So, you’ve attended Water Adventure Camp before and are ready for new adventures. This is just what you’re looking for! Campers will learn more technical techniques in canoeing and kayaking as well as learn to plan their own overnight campout.
